Youngest Archer of Dehradun

Today’s tears water tomorrow’s garden. The hard work you put in today, shows positive effects later on and here is an example of something similar that happened with Jai.

A relentless athlete, who has strived for his success and earned great respect in the sport of Archery. In the recent Uttarakhand team selection, Jai faced great competition with over 100 other athletes competing on one field. To make it to the team, Jai had to be in the top 4 and ofcourse Jai being Jai, he went against the odds and scored great in the tournament, but it wasn’t easy. Reporting at 8am in the morning and competing below the scorching sun with a temperature of 30° Celsius, the game was tough, but the will to be the best, proved powerful.

Now that Jai had qualified for Nationals, he will be a part of the camp that Uttarakhand teerandazi association has planned for the players. Jai is now in a sticky situation, his Nationals and end-semester exams dates clash, which brings about new problems for the young athlete. Archery being the priority, Jai may not hit the books this semester, but might just come out with flying colours in the Nationals competition. We wish him a big “All the best” and hope he makes us even prouder.

In this New world of Pandemic, Jai Singh worked on his skills and secured a bronze at the world archery championship! For an event like this, securing a place, even qualifying for such massive tournaments are a huge deal & by winning pre-competition trials , we have quadruled our respect for his skill & for his work. He has since put his everything towards making India proud and therefore, it gives us immense pleasure to see an achiever like him get such fame and be selected in the Nationals. He was India’s youngest personality to represent India in an international archery completion but, now in the Covid World, while the International tournamenets are a far off sight, we have glued our eyes and tied down all our hopes for his Nationals.

Apart from Archery, Jai Singh boasts about his passion to explore new places and ride his bike. He’s a coffee enthusiast and an ardent lover of starbucks, ( for which he does travel hours to get his favourite cup)

Well, we do understand that passion drives this archer and he would know no bounds to work hard towards it. We can’t wait to see this young chap have a wall full of trophies, medals and certificates for Archery and beyond.
